FAQ's
Need a little more information before booking? Look no further!
How do I confirm my event booking?
If you would like to book me as your wedding singer, please contact me via this form, and we'll discuss which package suits you best. I will then collect your details, send you a contract stating my full terms and conditions for you to sign. A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required for all bookings, payable via BACS. Once the signed contract and deposit has been recieved, your wedding is fully confirmed in my diary!
Do you supply a PA system?
Yes! I currently use a pair of Behringer B112D Active 1000W speakers (total output 2000W can kick out A LOT of power if needed!) Please note. I will require access to power for all bookings.
Is your equipment PAT tested, and do you have Public Liability Insurance?
All of my equipment is PAT tested yearly, and I have Public Liability Insurance up to £2 million. Ahead of your event, I'll send all certification to either your venue, or you.
How long does it take you to set up?
I need a minimum of one hour to load in, set up, and sound check to ensure my performance is of the highest quality for your event.
Can we request any songs?
Absolutely! You can request any song, and I'm happy to learn a new piece as long as it's suitable for my vocal abilities and depending on how far in advance the booking is. Plus, you'll have lots of choice from my extensive repertoire!
I want my ceremony entrance song to be an instrumental - can you do this?
Of course! It's completely your choice. We'll discuss all your preferences in detail leading up to your wedding to make sure everything is perfect for your big moment.
Do you charge travel expenses?
Every booking includes the first 100 miles of travel for free, after that I charge 45p per mile. For locations that are over 2 hours 30 minutes from Penrith, the cost of accommodation will be added (either the night before or the night of your event. This will be included in your quote).
My primary service area includes Cumbria, the North West, the North East, and the Scottish Borders, but I'm more than happy to travel wherever your celebrations takes me
Can you supply background music?
Yes I can! Whenever I need a break, and if I'm not moving my equipment to a new location, I'll pop on a playlist of background music, appropriate for your event to ensure there's no awkward silences!
Can you perform outside?
In the months of March to September, I am more than happy to perform outside granted the weather is appropriate, however between the months of October to February, I would typically say no as it is too cold for my equipment. I treat outdoor performances on a case by case basis however, and will assess in the run up to your event whether I think it will be manageable.
My venue has specific sound requirements for live music, will this be an issue?
I'm more than happy to work with your venue to suit their sound requirements, including using their own PA system of adhering to sound limiters. I can liaise with your venue directly to find the best solution.
Do I need to supply food and drinks for you?
Drinks - definitely! However soft drinks are absolutely fine, so I won't be running up your bar tab with cocktails!
Food - this depends on the length of time I'll be performing at your event. If you've booked a full day package, then I would really appreciate it! But I'm also happy to bring along lots of snacks to keep me going through the day!
Can we use your microphone for speeches, or announcements?
I can't always guarantee its availability for speeches or announcements, as I may need to move equipment or be on a break. Typically, your venue will supply a microphone for such needs, so I recommend checking with them in advance.
